Why?

We are a tangled mess of wires, neurons, memories, emotions, judgments, and desires—we are human. Humans are messy because we live in a complex world that we are trying to survive and navigate and because we are not struggling alone.

Demands and stress are heaped upon us to perform from a young age, and the piling on never stops. Others depend on us as partners, parents, friends, co-workers, and leaders. There is never enough time in the day, week, or year to accomplish everything we need to feel fulfilled or successful.

Being a partner is difficult. Being a parent did not come with a manual. Arguing and repeated conflict seem unavoidable. Frustration waits in the shadows of every conversation and situation. The ones we love seem to irritate us the most. We keep fighting about the same things over and over. Why does my partner—why do my children, why do my parents—always act this way?

It all keeps adding up. The noise gets louder. The demands keep stacking. The list overflows, and the weight is crushing…

I think, there has to be a better way, a different path…

There is.

There is knowledge that leads to skills, skills that, if repeated, will become a new version of you. One capable of being calm and present while in the storm. The Jedi stays clear, focused, and calm regardless of the raging battle—because if they don’t, they do not survive. These skills are available to us, for our lives, relationships, stresses, and battles.
